Thanks to our Amygdala, we are wired for fight or flight and automatically respond to danger, something we are witnessing currently. People are in a panic around the world, with the media feeding the fear, all due respect.
There are but two motivators in life. Fear and love. Why is it important to choose love in this crisis? Because when we achieve calm within the chaos, we are better able to examine the facts and come to a solution.
Firstly, let us examine a few facts about the virus itself. In terms of numbers alone, more people die each year with common influenza. Moreover, 80% of people contracting Coronavirus have been very mild cases and they have recovered.
The frenzy is caused by our fear of the unknown and the fear of deprivation. It is just Fear...
Doesn't it follow then, that it is our fear we must overcome? What do you do when you are usually afraid?
MY TIP FOR YOU
Whenever you are in crisis, stop and breathe deeply and slowly. You need only ask one question: Is my response helpful in this situation?
Whenever we face an obstacle, does it help to ask "why or why me?" Does it help to ask "How did this happen?" Does it help to blame "Its their fault! "
If we release judgement and simply see something as it is, we can then ask "What now?" and open ourselves up to inspiration. That is when we become resourcesful.
